Safeguarding legislation states that safeguarding means;

  • Preventing impairment of children’s health or development
  • Ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • Taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcome.

The Lighthouse School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and this requires all staff and visitors to share this commitment.
​Upon arrival at the Lighthouse School, all professional visitors must be prepared to show a photographic form of ID.
​Must be prepared to show proof of a negative Covid Lateral Flow Test done in the last 7 days.
​Must always remain with your host unless the school confirms they have had prior DBS clearance for you.
​All parents and carers will be checked against the information we hold on you to confirm ID.
​All visitors will be required to sign in and collect a visitors’ badge (Please always wear the badge).
​On departure, please ensure you return to reception to sign out. Thank you.
